Aurélie Castex is a designer and writes stories for press and publishing.
She also designs books and animated films.
Curious and versatile, she enjoys having fun in her daily life in her notebooks or inventing colorful universes with surrealistic imaginations and absurd bestiaries.
Watercolor, colored pencils, Indian ink or graphic tablet, Aurélie changes tools depending on the story she is telling. Each of her projects is hand sewn.
We have discovered her illustrations in fashion series from the international press such as Vogue Japon, Velvet Italy, Common & Sense, GQ… and in France, in Elle magazine and Week-end of Parisien magazine. In 2018, she directed the video clip Mirapolis in animated image of the composer Rone.
She also draws an illustrated chronicle for the Grand Palais magazine.
In 2020, she illustrates for Chêne editions the famous tale by Lewis Carrol "Alice in Wonderland".
In June 2021, "Terre Ferme" is released, a comic strip drawn in pencil and watercolor.
Her designs can be found on the packaging of the Chocolatier À La Mère de Famille, the posters of the Hôtel Particulier Montmartre, the invitations of the Château Troplong-Mondot or the Chaumet house, L'Occitane en Provence calendars or allovers of Paul & Joe collections… so many illustrations and identities of chic and unique brands.
